Let's dive into the journey from mushroom spore to the bottle on the shelf.
Since Purica began offering medicinal mushrooms in 2005, it has always sourced its mushrooms from North American growers and today over 95% of Purica mushrooms are grown in Canada. The first step picking strains are carefully selected for medicinal potency. The pure culture (aka spore) is then inoculated into a growth medium. Over the next 60-120 days the mushroom goes through its lifecycle, and different compounds are created by the fungi at various stages of that lifecycle. Some of these compounds are unique to the fruit body and others are unique to the mycelium portion of the mushroom. This is why Purica offers full spectrum mushrooms - to ensure their products contain every compound the organism created in its entire lifecycle, the way nature intended. The last step is to micronize (aka jetmill) the raw material to break down the mushroom structures to ensure you the customer gets optimal absorption of all those amazing compounds.
