- 1 TBS olive oil
- 1 medium onion finely chopped
- 2 cups of crimini (brown) mushrooms
- 1 ½ TBS minced fresh garlic
- 2 c water
- ¼ Tamari or shoyu sauce
- ½ tsp thyme
- pepper to taste
- 2 TBS spelt or whole wheat flour
Saute onions for 5 mins. Add mushrooms & garlic & cook for another 5 mins. Sprinkle the onion mushroom mixture evenly with the flour and stir well. Add your water, tamari, thyme & pepper. Cook for another 10 mins.
Serve over lentil loaf.
